Cooperativa agraria cafetalera ACPC Pichanaki

The Cooperativa Agraria Cafetalera ACPC Pichanaki was founded in 2000 as the Central Association of Pichanaki Coffee Producers, bringing together 39 local associations with the shared mission of improving quality, gaining market access, and raising the standard of living for farming families. In 2015, it formally adopted its current name, reflecting its growth and stronger organizational structure.

From the beginning, the cooperative has focused on empowering producers through training, technical assistance, and the implementation of best practices in post-harvest processing, selection, drying, and storage. By investing in organic certification, fair trade practices, and sustainable farming, ACPC Pichanaki has positioned its members to access specialty coffee markets in the United States and Europe.

Today, the cooperative unites 320 partners, cultivating more than 2,065 hectares of coffee, with over 1,400 hectares certified organic. It upholds a strong commitment to social responsibility, ensuring equal opportunities for young people, women, and indigenous communities. The cooperative also proudly carries the Free of Forced and Child Labor seal, reinforcing its dedication to ethical production.

Through strategic alliances with both public and private institutions, ACPC Pichanaki continues to strengthen economies of scale, optimize resources, and open doors for smallholder farmers to thrive in the global specialty coffee industry.
