For the past decade, Maria Doroteia Rennó Moreira has overseen Santa Maria and continued a legacy of women in coffee by her family as the farm was passed down her her from her parents, Huet and Maria Ignez.

Fazenda Santa Maria distinguishes itself through soil quality, irrigation, management practices, harvesting techniques, and sustainable practices. Doroteia nurtures an affectionate bond with the coffee plants as well as the vital role of being a woman in coffee farming—a role not without challenges.

Each year, women triumph, diligently caring for the coffee, allowing us to savor the love and wonder harvested in every bean, akin to Dorotéia's practice.
