Nearly a century ago, around 1924, the De Gasperín family arrived in San Felipe from the Italian immigrant colonies of Veracruz. At their ranch, the “Nonnos” began cultivating bananas and coffee, not for profit but for sustenance. What little was left over, they’d trade in the town of Córdoba for other goods, sowing the first seeds of what would become a lasting legacy.
By the 1980s, a young grandson named Adrián began to dream bigger. He purchased the family's first coffee dryer and slowly built a processing mill as demand grew. With Córdoba surrounded by lush coffee farms, he created a trusted network of small-scale farmers who sold him their harvests, which he would process and sell in parchment form.
Today, the fourth generation has taken the helm. Sisters Melisa and Jimena, together with coffee partner Benjamin Distl, are proudly carrying the San Felipe name to the world exporting specialty coffee to countries like Switzerland, Germany, Ireland, and beyond. As great-granddaughters of the original pioneers, they are passionate about sustainability, high-quality production, and honoring the farmers and team who have made this journey possible.
